The Glow Brick is currently one of our favourite lighting products. It is solar powered so it simply needs to be left out in sunlight to generate a 3 hour glow. It is made from phosphor luminescent material and encased in acrylic so it is sturdy enough to be used outside as well as inside the home and it is definitely a safer option than using candles if you want to achieve mood lighting. The Glow brick is sized 11 x 8 x 8cm.
Another similar product to the Glow Brick is the award winning Sun Jar. It is also solar powered and will emit a 5 hour glow from one charge. The Sun Jar is light sensitive so when the light drops to a certain level the Sun Jar will begin to emit a warm glow. It is also possible to use the Sun Jar outside, as it is waterproof. The Sun jar is sized 16 x 10 x 10cm.
